KARATE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Imagine getting home from work and knowing that your child was picked up from school, had a great workout, ate a nutritious snack, and had already finished all their homework!

Now imagine that on top of all that, your child was also learning focus, respect, and discipline, and working toward earning a black belt.

Well, that scenario is a reality for the parents whose kids are enrolled in our Karate After-School Program!

Q: Which schools do you pick up from?
A: We pick up from St. Benedicts, PS 14, PS 69, PS 71, PS 72, PS 304, IS 192, PS 83, PS 82, St. Raymond’s Academy, Villa Maria, Our Lady of Assumption, Holy Cross Elementary School.

Q: If you don’t provide pick-up service from my child’s school, can my child still attend?
A: Absolutely! Many of our after-school students attend schools other than those listed above. As long as you have a way of dropping them off at United BlackBelt Professionals, they can enjoy all the benefits of our Karate After-School Program.

Q: What time can I pick up my child from United BlackBelt Professionals?
A: You can pick them up anytime before 6:00 PM.  We do offer an extended hour for an additional fee. 

Q: Will my child do karate in the After-School Program?
A: Yes! All students in our Karate After-School Program take a 40-minute karate class Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Q: Will my child earn different belts?
A: Absolutely! Students in our Karate After-School Program take the same tests and participate in the same belt promotion graduation ceremonies as the rest of our students. So your child will have the opportunity to work towards earning a black belt simply by being in our Karate After-School Program!

Q: Do you offer the karate after-school program on half days and school holidays?
A: Yes, we do offer the karate after-school program on half days at a fee of $25/child for the half-day.  We also have a Christmas Karate Camp, and Winter Recess Karate Camp that offer parents the convenience of child care from 8-6pm at a fee of $150/week for one child.

 Q: How much is the tuition for the Karate After-School Program?
A: The tuition is $240 per month billed on the 5th of each month automatic debit or credit card EFT.  There's an enrollment fee of $100 for one student, and $50 for 2nd, and $25 for additional student.

Q: I’m not totally sure whether my child wants to do karate. Is there a way to try out the karate part first?
A: Absolutely! You can have your child take a karate orientation class first for FREE. This will give them a chance to learn some basic techniques, and it will allow you to see how we run our karate class so that you can make an informed decision as to whether our Karate After-School Program is right for you. To schedule an orientation class, just give us a call at 718-824-8200.

Q: The Karate After-School Program sounds like a perfect fit for me! How do I get my child started?
A: Great! You can come on in and fill out some paperwork, and start by paying the pro-rated amount for the first month. (For example, if you sign up in the middle of the month, you’d pay $120, or 50% of the monthly $240.) After that, you would be billed $240 on the 5th of each month by automatic debit or credit card EFT.
